Funding and Enhanced Care

The government funding is offered for 38 weeks per year.
You maybe entitled to 15 or 30 hours per week.
Our available funded session time is:
- 8:30 AM – 4 PM
- 8:30 AM – 12:15 PM
- 12:15 PM – 4 PM
Additionally, we work closely with local families to accommodate any specific needs. These can be discussed with parents by management.
All hours attended outside of funded hours are charged at Rivenstars usual daily/sessional or hourly rates (please see our fee structure).
Government funding offers great savings to parents but only covers the necessary provision of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). At Rivenstars, we strive to provide an enriched curriculum with experiences beyond the basic provision.
We charge a small additional charge, of £5.00 per day on funded hours. To demonstrate transparency for our parents/carers on what this additional charge is used for we have spilt the charge into three fees. This must be agreed upon in advance by parents. In line with funding guidelines this charge is discretionary (please see information below on why we charge).

What does Rivenstars offer over and above your funding?
We provide high quality childcare, enriched environments throughout our enhanced provisions ensuring your child has the best early years’ experience, giving every child equal opportunity to socialise, play and learn.
What does this include over and above the basic provision?
The government requires that early years provisions provide a detailed breakdown of their enhanced care package, including an individual cost for each item. Please note that while we have done our utmost to provide accurate figures, these costs are estimates only, as it is extremely difficult to calculate exact amounts. Prices may fluctuate over time due to varying factors.
